De La Salle Project of Asian and International Relations (DLSPAIR) in partnership with Banco De Oro Unibank, kicked off the 2015 Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) – Asia Conference last August 20-24 at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel.

De La Salle University was chosen to be Harvard’s partner university through a competitive bidding process. To prepare for the event, DLSPAIR immediately began working after last year’s HPAIR-ASIA conference in Tokyo with great support from BDO Unibank Inc. President Nestor V. The conference was themed “Confronting Asia’s Development Challenges through Innovation” and advocates the need for innovative ideas and practices in both government and business, especially in lessening the wide economic gap between the rich and the poor experienced across developing nations.

In attendance were Congressman Maria Leonor Robredo, Representative of the 3rd District of Camarines Sur, World Bank Country Director Motoo Konishi, and Lead Economist for Poverty Reduction and Economic  Rogier Van der Brink were also present.
