Fokuoka University’s International Seminar with Asian Sister University Students Now Accepting Applicants

Fukuoka University’s International Seminar with Asian Sister University Students is now open to applicants. The program will run from October 21 to 31, 2014 and will focus on group studies, discussions, presentations, and collaboration with Fukuoka University students. This program also includes segments for experiencing and learning various aspects of Japan and its culture, nature, and traditions. The chosen De La Salle University student will receive from Fukuoka University the following:

  • Round trip airfare between the international airport nearest to the home institution and Fukuoka International Airport
  • Transfers to and from Fukuoka International Airport
  • 10 night accommodation and meals
  • Tuition fee for 3 classes (tentative)
  • All class materials
  • Field trips and cultural activities

To qualify, interested students:

  • Must be a native born Filipino citizen
  • Must be at least 18 years old by September 21, 2014
  • Must preferably have a valid passport up to at least April 30, 2015
  • Must be fit to travel
  • Must have completed at least 3 trimesters of study in De La Salle University on the date of application
  • Must be a bonafide student of De La Salle University on the date of application
  • Must have at least one academic trimester left in De La Salle University upon return from the program
  • Must have a CGPA of at least 3.0/4.0
  • Must not have participated in the student exchange programs and/or short-term language programs that have taken place in Japan
  • Must have preferably have a Japanese Language Proficiency Test level of 4

The students availing of the program will be responsible for other expenses such as visa fees, travel insurance, host university insurance if mandated, and other fees, expenses, or payables that will not be covered by the program. Deadline of submission of all applications at the International Center, SJ 207, is on June 25, 2014.
